Learning More About Teaching Each Day

Brent Pillsbury

Brent Pillsbury has been a classroom teacher of World History and US History for two decades. He frequently serves on curriculum development committees and is a trusted resource within his school and department. He and Ron developed and taught a cross-curricular combination of US History and Junior English called American Journey. The class received national exposure at conferences held in Philadelphia, San Francisco, and Orange County.

Brent also teaches business communication and entrepreneurship at a nearby community college. Brent coached various levels of his high school's tennis teams for 18 years.

He lives in Orange County, California with his wife Celeste and their three kids Micah, Cassidy, and Jade. He enjoys surfing, tennis, and basketball when he is not working at one of his many jobs.

Ron Archer

During the course of almost four decades, Ron has taught all levels of English, supplementing that challenge by teaching introductory math and algebra along the way.

Ron has held curricular leadership positions at the site and District level.  He and Brent have presented conference sessions at locations from coast to coast. Following his retirement from full-time teaching, he has supervised student teachers for local universities and remained active in the classroom by accepting long-term substitute assignments in English and math.

Ron lives in Orange County, California with his wife Diane and their dog Daisy. His three adult children are pursuing careers in software engineering, the military and teaching English.

Volunteering at church, swimming laps, and taking naps are Ron's cherished free-time activities.
